LIFE

It's a flower which blossoms
With its fragrance in the air
Its beauty shining in light
Its movement like a prayer

The day recedes by
the night envelopes the sun
the blooming flower bows down
Though its life did just begun

it's the light of a firefly
glowing in the dark
a moment of its shining
Bequeathing eternal mark

A look away from the glow
And lo! The fires gone
So eternal as it did seem
Was dead before it born

It's a bubble which rises
From a tiny spot in air
An ocean worth inside it
Flowing in shiny layer

How beautiful how real
Its vacuum inside so calm
And when you try and grasp it
There is nothing in your palm.
